Project Background
This experiment is the next step in my ultimate goal to produce methyl salicylate from asprin tablets. Utilizing the raw acetylsalicylic acid produced by the last step, the reactions described in the procedure convert the reagents into salicylic acid.

Two batches were produced from the above procedure, resulting in a total yield of approximately 30.21g of salicylic acid.
